I just recently bought a 96 2.5 TL two weeks ago haven't had any major problems yet even though its gonna need alot of TLC!!!!!! for $1200 and 151,000 miles what do you expect lol.
Problem is Monday I went to crank it and the alarm started going off. I tried the usual stuff I had read on here with the key and door(pulled the horn fuse so it wouldn't be so annoying). It didn't crank Monday which I thought was due to the alarm from what I've read on here. However, yesterday afternoon it cranked and ran fine. I went to put the horn fuse back in and the horn was still going off. Any suggestions/ideas??????? Also tried leaving the battery disconnected for several hours and that didn't work either.

Also I've read about the emissions warranty on here for the TL. I'm a tick over 151K any chance the dealer would still do the warranty work or am I SOL??????

i would disable the alarm by shorting the hood switch while you get it figured out.

 

make sure your doors are closed securely haha mine did something like that and it pissed me off for a couple days then i noticed the seatbelt jammed in one of the doors keepin it open like 1/4 inch .

 

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I don't know what I did GRRRR but its now working normally. Hate when I fix something and don't know how I did it.
