I caused this, but now I can't figure out how to fix it!
Here's the story...
Left turn signal started doing a faster frequency flash with the rear flashing but the front not. Then it went back to normal for a while and came back.
So my first thought was that it is the relay. How could a bulb go out and then work again?
I started digging around to find the flasher relay under the dash. I also found a replacement relay from Autozone.
The problem is that the flasher relay is really buried up behind connectors and wire harnesses. I pulled some of the connectors out to get to the relay but still couldn't get the relay out. I was running out of time so had to put things back together and, I believe, put connectors back exactly the way they were. But now it doesn't start! It cranks just fine but no hint of trying to actually start. Red arrows are connectors I disconnected and put back. Blue arrow points to the relay I was trying to get to.
Found the problem. I did reconnect a connector into the wrong location. Switched it to this other location and it fired right up.
212,000 miles and still going strong!
