car just suddenly cut off and now wont start, turns over but will not start. just replaced 3 coil packs that was causing mis fire and was running great until today. i am getting fuel . replaced ignition control module and switch and still wont start ! my next best guess is the ecu ? any help on this would be awesome !

 

Have you check on the main relay under steering wheel? My got bad solder joint.

not sure what that is but i just rented diagnostic code reader and getting "p1768" code.

I searched and found "P1768-Faulty Linear Solenoid". That generally refers to the transmission and I don't know how or if that would make the car suddenly turn off but maybe that will help point you in a direction. If you search P1768 on this site, there is a lot of discussion about it but none for the first generation. It still could be of some help.

 

sorry i took so long to get back to yall kind people who offer your help ! yes tuanrich u were exactly rite , it was the main relay !!

 

yea it def has something to do with the trans, ugghhh im not ready for that !

 

The MAIN Relay....the culprit to a lot of our misery!
