1997 3.2tl with Check engine light
Hi everyone.
Newbie here,
Just found this great forum and had to sign up, looks like a great group
of Acura lovers.
This is my first Acura, my prev cars were 1988 Civic and 1991 Accord EXR
Just got myself a 1997 3.2tl with only 61,000k !! on it.
the check engine light is on. Got it scanned by a garage and here are the results..
p1300
p1304
p1305
p1306
p1399 (pending)
Seems to be something to do with ignition system and misfiring.
But I don't know where to start looking.
Any suggettions?

The codes 1300-1306 are codes for misfire. P1300 is random misfire, and other are specific cylinder misfire codes. Bad spark plugs seems first place to go.
P1399 is not defined as a code in manual I have. It may help to reset the ECU, drive and see what codes come back immediately.
I assume engine is indeed missing?
good luck

Finally got it fixed,
Plugs, coils, compression, injectors alternator, erg and fuel filter all checked okay
It came down to replacing the misfire detection module.
I was quoted over $500 for one.
Got one for $50 at the auto wreckers.
Reset the codes and no more Check engine light.
Same module as in this link

Im going to get it scanned too, seems about the same situation. My brother inlaw suggested an ATC fuel injector canister except that he doesn't know what "tip" is needed for this specific car(to prevent from buying the whole set) if anyone knows which one He already has the tool but with only a few of the tips. He suggested it might be misfiring since the engine light starts blinking when im on the highway?
