What is wrong?

I was racing my friend today, he drives 99 323i auto. NOTE: This race was on roads with no traffic at all and we didn't endanger anybody's life. It was only me and him and our cars.

So from a stop we go upto 80 MPH, I loose.... I lost right from start, he was gone.
Again from a stop upto around 65~70 MPH I loose again...
Third run from 25 MPH upto 80 MPH, I put a car length on him. GOOD..
Forth run from about 20 MPH to 70, I loose again...

I used to pull on him even with 1 passenger with me and he wasn't able to keep up with me on 80+MPH. What is going on with my car? Maintenance isn't an issue. Car is in great running condition, filled with premium chevron every time. Am I doing something wrong or my car is tired?

No, its not. the only "mod" he have is, he bought a k&n cone filter and stuck it in place of his stock one...
And he's got those ugly chrome rims too..

I heard that spark plugs can make a noticeable difference - maybe it's that?

Like I said tonight, minor things and you'll be good again. Besides, he has a weight and drivetrain advantage off the line.

The original when Vin Diesel races Paul Walker for the first time. Paul Walker races with his pink slip and loses. Then you pulls up to the finish line and the car is smoking.

I have seen the movie a ton of times.

OK. So I will be doing "major" tuneup tomorrow. I need instructions on how to clean fuel injectors. What kind of spark plugs should I use? I will also change the oil too.

Off Topic question for TexasHonda: I have cooling system problems with my 1997 Accord, its a 2.2 4cyl non-vtec automatic. Problem is when car heats up it will push the coolant into the coolant reservoir, which is normal but it won't suck it back in when needed. Reservoir overflows and coolant just drains through the cap. Thats why car overheats sometimes. (210* F). I have already replaced radiator cap but no avail. Any idea what the problem might be?

If you don't want to post it here you can PM me. Thanks.

Its OK. The t-stat I bought is the factory spec 180*f one. Now the temp stays between 190-198*F most of the time. I don't know where I went wrong..

I have only replaced spark plugs so far. I was going to do fuel filter and clean injectors today but I hurt my right hand (thumb) last night. I am right handed so I guess I gotta wait for few days to start again..

Even taking a piss is freaking challenge...
