It will make a big difference in volume but also in flow. I would not recommend an eBay high flow because those are just resonators. Also almost pointless if you don't have a full exhaust.

~Cheers~

P.S. I have a CARB legal and OBDII compliant one.

It was $400 for the cat to be swapped because it's technically illegal to change it unless it's tested to be faulty. I had the rest of the exhaust done already. I did get ripped a bit for it which is why I just went and bought my own welder but I've yet to use it, haha.

I recommend the MagnaFlows for us, as that's what i have. , although that one is not a California legal one. There isn't a bung for the rear o2 sensor, either.

They can put one in the pipe behind the cat. Mine is in the cat itself, just like OEM.

alright thanks so im going to buy the magnaflow cat. what would be the average price for the install and the rest of the exhaust and putting in the bung? hopefully they dont charge me more than getting my axleback installed which was $150. how much louder can expect my exhaust to get after the cat? do you have any sound clips or anything?

Since you don't have laws against it, I'd say probably around $200 since you're bringing in the cat and re-using your muffler. I don't have before and after clips, but I know my car is loud, haha. Sounds great, though, and I get complimented all the time. I've had people think I was launching on them when I was just going off the line, too. You can hear a bit of my exhaust in one of my burnout vids, but it's not the best quality.

~Cheers~

hey umm i was going to get the high flow cat but then decided to see if taking out the resonator was going to make a difference but it didnt really make it louder i dont have any money now for the cat.

has anyone taken out the resonator and made your exhaust louder?

oh and it cost me $70 jus to take out the resonator! i could have spent it on the cat!

cats are for pet stores, cut that hootnanny crap off and put in a straight pipe and a secondary o2 eliminator. If its too loud, put a turn down aimed at the center of the car on the tip..

Ive had a greddy sp for a prelude with 2.75 inch piping with the stock manifolds and intermediate pipe.

Now i have mandrel 3 inch 304 piping, a 28 inch long stainless borla muffler, 2.5 inch y pipe off the factory manifolds, gutted converter, and a 45 degree 2.25 turndown aimed at the center of the car.

No soundclips sorry. Its not too bad as far as loud. The turndown keeps it quiet. Its setup so you cant really see it either. Its like the 4th exhaust ive had on the car though. The greddy i had was louder.

Oh, if you want to hear a very short clip of my exhaust, here's a vid on YouTube. It was recorded by a Verizon phone so shitty quality. I didn't even know it was recorded until I was given it almost a year later, haha. This is the old C32 with a BHG but it has the same exhaust (IIRC) I have now.

IIRC, this one's mine: http://www.car-sound.com/02product/d...niversal=43065 I welded a bung to the front o2 port since we only use the after-cat one.

The one I wanted was this one: http://www.car-sound.com/02product/d...niversal=43037 but it wasn't available at the time.

so then what size piping did you go with??? did you keep the stock size??? is the stock size 2" or 2.25"???

the pipe between my cat and muffler broke yesterday... so i already got the magnaflow muffler picked out... now im debating on just changing out the whole system with a high flow cat but don't know what size piping to go with... i want quiet as possible...

I've got a 2.25" all the way through. I'm thinking of selling my setup, though, and going with something else. I can make make mine quieter with an extra resonator inline, but I've not got the money for it now.

~Cheers~

No resonators, just cat, piping, muffler. Sounds great, haha!
