If you want to remove the amber then you are going to have to bake you tail light. Once you bake your tail light in the oven for like 5-10 minutes to heat up the glue. Then you will be able to open up the light. Hopefully you have a plan for the turn signal because once you remove that amber it is bare bulb. After you do what you gotta do inside the tail light put it back together tie it up with something so that when the glue heats up again it will stick again to the glue. Then after 5-10 minutes take it out of the oven keep it still tied together so that when the glue cools off the tail light will be back to normal.

Pop off the plastic stays, then pull back the trunk liner. You need an 8mm deep socket to remove the 4 nuts there, then a steady hand in pulling the tail out. When you replace the tails, be sure to either buy a new seal or make a new one based off the existing one, because I can almost guarantee water seeping in if you don't. A dremel won't work because you don't have Inspire tails, and honestly, if you can't figure out how to remove the tail, you shouldn't be doing this. Besides, unless you're replacing the lens with another one, it looks pretty ugly.

I cannot get the darn tail to let go of that one wire in the center... I didn't want to force it.

I have a set of Inspire tail lights to repplace my TL ones, but do you think I still need to make a "new" seal when I finally figure out how to swap them?
