How do you "forget" to hit the brakes?

Let's see... I'm driving along and I'm given two options.

1. Hit the brakes?

2. Hit whatever it is I'm going to hit and deal with the cops, insurance, courts, hospitals, etc. thereby destroying my life for the next 6 months to a year maybe more?

I'll take #2 - - - There's more words.

I wouldn't worry, looks like some easy body repairs.
Things worked out for me and I have a cracked radiator mount as well as all that you have

I don't understand how someone can "forget" to apply their brakes. Hopefully everything will work out for you and that no one was hurt.

Someone in your apartment complex stole your amp, etc. out of your trunk?! That's just fucked up... And to think that you've lost enough already!! Find those punk kids and run them over...

Sorry to hear that. I wonder if insurance covers this type of thing. Was it stolen while in the shop?

There are always ways to find out who did it... Someone backed into my car on Friday, and I've pretty much figured out who did it. They bent my license plate bracket and plate to shit and cut my bumper. Now I need to pick up a new one from Japan, ...

~Cheers~
