yup, today i went to pick up my cell phone that my friend had mistakenly taken out of my car and i was turning onto this road with the sun blairing in my eyes. Well the car in front of my turns
and i see nothing coming (because the car in front of me is blocking the view of the car that hits me) and wham my rear bumper flew off busting my right tail lense and putting a big dent on it. My muffler is ****ed up too. There are also some dents on the other side... im not sure from what though , i guess its from the bumper flying around n stuff. well im not sure what is going to happen, but ill keep ya updated..

 

Ya that sucks man. It can happen anytime, you just never know when. Ya hope you get it fixed.

 

 

im thinking it is totaled the whole azz end is going to have to be replaced, i found some stress points that dented the other side of the rear of the car... soo im pretty at myself

wow 7k? wouldnt they total the car out? 96TL with about 120k miles blue book now is about 8000.

 

7k? damn,, i almost totaled the front of my car... hit a 88 caprice classic, damn 500 pound bumper went above my bumper and went through the head lights and crushed the radiator. had to get a new hood , fenders and headlights not including internal stuff but i was lucky no engine damage.. i paid like 5 or6 K but was through a family friend, Our cars cost a lot for everything, its their curse.

 

WTF, $7K are you serious. Your car would have to be almost totalled to cost that much to fix!!??

i know how you feel. Actually my car WAS completely totalled. Its been months since i've posted but i had a IS300 for awhile and iam sick of lookin over my shoulder every 5 sec. So that goes to my parents and iam lookin at a 1st gen tl before summer comes around. I got into a hit and run... estimated $14,800 damages on my car it was only 66k miles old

my car has almost 104k miles on it and the damages are almost 7k, it isnt totaled but would they still give us the 7k for the car ?

my car's blue book value is about 7 i just found out for trade in

 

I doubt they'll fix it. That car is pretty much totalled.

 

if the damages to the car around more than half of the value of the car insurance companies will most likey total the car out. So if you own your car(have the title) and insurance totals out your car they will give you blue book value for your car. With 7k in damage I wouldnt want the thing back. take the check and put down on a used 99-00 TL or somthing.

My sister's Maxima was totaled (cosmetic), but they only wanted to give her $5,000. To get a replacement (same car, same options, actually higher milage) it would cost her $7,000. She said give me $7,000 or fix it. I don't know about your state, but out here you could demand they fix it. Stupid cheap bastards...it cost them $7,500 + rental car.

 

i got another estimate and i think i can get it fixed for around 5- 5,5 im looking at aftermarket bumpers b/c they are charging me 500 dollars for a unpainted stock bumper.
well if u guys have any ideas lemme know !
