Window Tint

I know that this is sort of a rambling, but I was just wondering if this price was to much or just right for what it is. As the title says this is about window tint. I went to this new auto place that opened about 15 minutes from my house. I got there and started talking to the guy (he was a really nice guy) about how much window tint would cost and everything. The only tint that they carry is 3M and the price to get all the windows done would be $260 and to just get the back 3 windows done would be $200. I thought that $260 was a little much since this girl that I know got her car tinted all around for $120. Someone please tell if this is to much or if this is just the right price for it.

yea. i got my windows tinted for $210. it was supposed to be $250 but the guy gave me a deal because he messed up on scheduling. so yea, that's about right. I don't know why, but the guy told me it's more expensive because the TL's are more difficult to work on.

i researched too. i called about 5 or 6 different places and they all told me about the same price. $260 for the TL is right on track, unless you want to do it yourself...which i don't recommend.

RIP..... OFF......... unless, they do computer cut. If they do then its worth is 3m tint is very high quality but if its not comp cut its not worth it.. 120 is a good price for window tinting. I'd say go with the cheaper, ive done it on all of my cars except for one and you can barley tell the difference between comp and regular cut.

ive done my own for 60 bucks for the roll of tint..

i recently had them redone though since i peeled the old stuff cause of the cops.. The new shit cost me 180. Thats including the entire front windshield which typically costs 100 alone. The whole front windshield is big time illegal though, they can impound your car on the spot for it.. Fuck em tho.

Haha Keepin' it real.

I'm pretty sure that a tinted front windshield does look bad ass but heck, I wouldn't risk it.

i think mine was around 155, lifetime warranty, reg. cut, gave me a ride back and forth from my place haha. Although i had a problem with dot matrix getting to stick. I hear you can cut that part off or put a black vinyl piece on instead.

Around $150 here.

Tinting the windshield? Doesn't sound like a smart thing to do on so many levels.

It really isn't good because your visibility is down but it looks so good.

Either is taking 3 advil's to get rid of a headache, ordering the 20oz steak instead of the 16oz, not using a rubber this time, and plugging 2 space heaters into a power strip. But.. sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Its no more dangerous than my 93 civic hatchback with the entire inside cut out of it so its just a nascar fender skin body.

Its only 50% on the windshield. Wait till i peel it and do limo on the entire windshield. I have to get my license back so i can have normal plates again, and then send in the collector vehicle form. Then as long as i stay under 5k miles a year of use (which cluster and ecu do you want me to put in before they check it haha), then i no longer have to worry about fix it tickets since its concidered a show vehicle with transportation not its primary purpose.

The visibility is not down much tho. If its too bad to see out the window, i dont need to be driving some shit around with 4000 dollar wheels anyhow.

LOL at your guys worrying about tint on the windshield. It isn't hard to see out of at all, I have done it to my TL-S and my previous car, I love it. Mine is 35% on the windshield, and 15% on the sides and rear.

colt45- I bet the road noise was something else in your civic with it all stripped out...

02type-s tint looks sick, it makes me think of all the things i could do without people seeing me if i had that tint. (i.e. loving from ma lady, drinking, etc...)

Your windows won't get scratched as easily.

That is def. a once in a lifetime thing. All the cops where I live complain about everything. If you have anything that is a mod they will pull you over for it. I had a cop the other day stop on the left side of me about a half a car length apart and stared at my license plate light until the light was about to turn green.
