Will not start need help stranded
I bought a 96 Acura tl 2.5 from a guy few weeks ago I drove it home had no issues then all of a sudden today it wouldn't start it will turn over but won't fire the first turn over it fired up barely then died out and hasn't cranked since. Has fuel smell coming from exhaust and i tried putting jumper cables still nothing contacted previous owner and said he had it happen to him a few times but always jumped off but I can't get it too and battery is showing good any help be great
I had a similar issue with my 1980 Honda Civic back in the day. Would only run if you revved the crap out of it and it would only start if you ran it down a steep hill to bump start it. Sounds like it is time for a new distributor cap and rotor.
Sounds like it might be flooded as well. Replace the plugs and get yourself a new air and fuel filter. NGK plugs ONLY. NO CHAMPION or any other garbage.
How many miles on the car? A new set of wires would be a good idea as well.
RockAuto Parts Catalog is your friend - don't forget to look up the discount code. Pep Boys has some ok prices online with discount code - in store is more $$$.
Once you get the starting sorted out make sure you change out the anitfreeze (Honda premix is preferable), transmission fluid (Honda ONLY), brake fluid, and differential fluid.
The transmission fluid should be done every 30,000 miles, differential 15,000 miles, and brake fluid every two years.

I was having trouble following your post...
Sounds like two issues. No start and now no crank.
Does the car crank at all? If you get nothing I would get that battery on charge. Sounds like you might need a new one. Did you take the battery in for testing?
You will also want to check your fuses just in case you zapped it. Your main relay could be on the way out as well. Starter could be stuck, but they are pretty rugged on these cars. Mine is original 167,000 miles and counting...
Start with the basics first (battery, plugs, cap and rotor) and go from there...
