I was just curious... for any of you who has aftermarket components in your car, where did you all place your aftermarket tweeters??? in the factory housing above?? will it fit any tweeter?

I filled in all four of my factory tweeter locations. I took a pair of my old a/d/s 325i/s tweeters and glued them into the map light location and placed the 336i/s set into the corner windshield tweet locations and the mid door location.

I think the map location was bigger than the windshield pods.

I put my tweeters right next to the door unlock switch in the doors. i'm going to put some in the map location if i get mobile video for my center channel.

TLBaller, it is working out great. a/d/s is known for their super smooth natural sounding tweeters and I have them plugged into a passive crossover. Alpine's DHE has really brought out the sound and my front soundstage is nice and wide.

haha98: what do you mean by "4 inch is in my kick panel"?????? your kick panels are your doors right??? so your tweeters are custom made to fit into your doors right next to your door speaker? are our door speakers 6"? im lost...

teflon: i dont think you answered my question. what i meant was that did your tweeters fit perfectly (without modifications) into your factory tweeters in the "map location"?

i ahve the kicker 6.5 components

i have my kicker tweeters in the black part right on the opposite side of the side mirrors..
didn't wanna cut into my door os just placed them there...
they still sound awesome IMO

the 6 1/2 are in the stock location and teh passive crossover is behind the door panel, no cutting (except for a little tiny hole on the black rubber thing that the tweeter sits on)

My a/d/s 325i/s tweeters are bigger than the 346i/s tweeters, so i put them in the map location. The map location should fit most tweeters, as long as they don't look like the old dyna audio tweeters.
