Where is the oxygen sensor after the CAT?
Lo Everyone:
I have a 1996 Acura 2.5TL and want to know if there is an oxygen sensor after the CAT Converter.
Where is it?
How does it affect changing the system to a CAT back performance exhaust?
Thank you for any help.

New here!!!
...I think acura oxygen sensor is located in the header. And I believe that the 2nd o2 sensor does not impact mixture (this is done by the primary).. so that being the case the 2nd sensor is really their to throw a cel if it doesn't get a eading that is better then the first. (indicating a functioning CAT).

^ Wow... So off the original question (however strange the question was) it's not even funny.
Having a cat-back will not throw any CELs or anything of the sort. The rear O2 sensor is IN the catalytic converter's housing. It basically checks to see if the cat is functioning properly. Having a cat-back, as the name suggests, will replace the piping that connects to the rear of the cat all the way to the muffler tips.
~Cheers~

How do you get to the front oxygen sensor, the one before the cat? ok to use the aftermarket OE style replacements? I suspect a thottle body clean tripped the one I have in now, can it be serviced or cleaned?

I don't know f you can access it from underneath or not. The service manual states to get it from the engine bay.
Mine is a 97 2.5 TL, I think it's the same.
You have to get underneath to remove the electric cover to get the connector out.
There's a service manual link here, do a search. some kind forum member posted a link.
I actually have the 2.5tl factory service manual, and cannot see anything about how to access - will check again, but if anyone has a page number showing how to get to it, that would be very helpful. thanks for all the help so far.
