where do you buy gas?
I know someones going to say "its all the same", but i notice differences between tanks, and stations.
Normally i get gas from a 76 station.
Whats your take? Where do you go?

Chevron. Shell if a Chevron isn't nearby, but after they started that "nitrogen-enhanced" crap, power and mileage has suffered a bit. Chevron got worse after buying Texaco, but they're the lesser of two evils now.
76 gives me good mileage on longer trips, but not to SoCal for some reason. I usually pump that if I'm up in Napa.
Oh, and I used Sunoco a few times.

The only three I ever put in:
1. Shell (as much as possible)
2. Chevron
3. 76
I don't know if there's a whole lot of truth to it, but I'm influenced by this site:

Here in oregon, stations can now pump e10-free gas into our tanks (we cant pump our own gas, its illegal)
Its hard to find any that have it, and its .30 or .40 more per gallon.
I tried it a couple times, and the TL seems to hate it. It may be that i can only find it at the worst station in town, and it isnt quality gas to start with.

whatever name brand is cheapest. (ie chevron, 76, shell, mobil) I pump arco every once in a while if I really have to, but I don't put more than a few gallons of that stuff in. My dad just pumps Costco on a normal basis I think. It's pretty cheap there.

^ Save the money you spend on the Lucas and just get Chevron all the time. Here's how it works, IIRC:
Name brand gas company B dumps 500,000 gallons of oil in the pipes. Normally, it takes one week for their gas to go through and reach the other side of the country. To save time and money, they take out 500,000 gallons immediately from the other side, since El Cheapo brand company A off-loaded last week. Here's where the similarities in gas stop. B takes A's gas and brings it back to their refinery, filters it, and starts adding their detergents and additives, then ships it to their stations.
A, who took B's last shipment like how B took theirs, takes it to their own refinery, filters it, then ships it to their econo-stations. No additives, no detergents. Shitty gas.
If I'm forced to use a no name brand, I'd usually pump $5 then rush to the next better station.
~Cheers~

I 97% of the time go to shelll beacuse my friend works there and i get free car washes there every other time i get gas there lol haha
But when my TL is running on hopes an dreams an i put gas from a differant station an the TL sometimes feels kinda tired and the gas waists faster even tho i still drive the same distance.. so sence ive noticed that i just go to shell and for some reason that gas lasts me longer and my TL runs better or could it be beacuse of all the free car washes lol..

Sunoco /ultra 94 always
Costs be about 60 dollars to fill from the low fuel light...which i think is a reserve of about 10 litres. 94 octane is about 1.15/litre where im located in Toronto, ONT.
sorry for the metric

In Colorado and other areas, you'll see 85 octane regular due to the elevation.

^ Like I had said, it's because we use too much of it. When they first dropped it from 92 to 91, and bumped everyone else up, I read an article explaining the reasons for the change.
When my friend's car had the 85 in it, it ran like absolute shit. It's why he even checked the receipt to see what kind of gas it was, haha.
~Cheers~
