Pain. Everything from the front past the throttle body comes out of the car. I think Ken did it without removing stuff, but it does give you much more room to work. I paid someone to do mine when I got the car, only to find out for certain a couple months ago that the timing belt was done right before I got it. No wonder the belt looked new when it came out, haha.

~Cheers~

wrong. the only think I had to remove were the belts, crank pulley, covers, throttle cables, and thermostat housing with the radiator hose attached. I also took off the fan relays n crap that mount on the radiator and set it aside. I did it with everything else intact, including radiator, fans, upper radiator hose, etc. took me about a day of leisure working.

Yay...(sarcasm)
The belt isnt cheap, and the new tensioner is more. And the waterpump is outrageous.
I guess i can take a cover off and look at it...

^ It's not that bad, just that I paid the guy a lot to do it since I didn't want to tackle it and I didn't even have the time to try. I think my total was about $800 including custom belts for my new crank pulley, which I sold to KrayzieDxC for $150 (incl. belts).

We just did timing belt on the MDX, cost about $250 in parts. I think I paid something around $400 last time I did it on the TL with labor.

I have a thing about letting other people work on my car (and especially paying them)
It would drive me nuts. I must have trust issues
