Water not draining?
Water not draining?
Over the time owning my car its only rained a few times, and I wash it quite often, but usually don't end up driving it for a little while after. I noticed a couple weeks though after it was parked in the rain, I was driving and going around a left hand turn, and when I did I could hear a good amount of water sloshing to the right hand side, and then back to level out when I got back onto straight road. Went out today after I washed it, and notcied that there is defiantely some water that isn't draining from the front of the car somewhere. I opened the hood and nothing was wet, but I couldn't find any drain holes/pipes witht he short time I had.
Is this supposed to happen and I'm just not used to it, or is it something I should look farther into?

Definatly, look into it further... worst comes to worst... you don't look into it and then your TL is gonna have some major body work to be done... its best to find the problem now... let us know whats up maybe we can prevent it on our TL's... sorry to hear about it though...
spare tire well is definatly the best place to look first... if its not there... worst case senerio, its in the space where your sun/moon roof goes into when its open... drive around with the sun/moon roof open and see what happens...
good luck on finding the water...

I found water in my trunk today after some recent rain. Didn't find much, just enough to make my trunk carpet damp. Does anyone know where this water comes in from? Is it the tail lights??? Please help.. Don't want my TL to rust away...

Guys, I said front :\. Nothing inside the car or inside the engine bay is wet, it just seems to me like the water takes a long time to drain if you get a lot on the windshied without the car moving. It all starts to flow down off the windshied, and down through a couple small holes, and the holes aruond the windshield wipers, but doesn't seem to come out the bottom of the car as fast, like the bottom can't flow as fast as the top, but its all coming out after some driving. I wish I could start taking it apart and looking at it but its a sort of awkward spot to work around, and the stuff was rivited in, not screwed
When I first bought my TL I found water in my trunk by the spare too!! I took out the plug to drain the water and cleaned out the area. I cleaned out the seal (black linin around trunk) just to be sure. Everytime it rained I checked to see if more water had built up but it never did. Not sure if it was the cleaning I did or not.
I got out of work tonight (5-10:30) and it had rained durring my shift, but wasn't raining for the last part of it, not exactly sure how long though. I started to drive off and definately heard water sloshing around at first, it was all gone by the time I got home (just a couple miles, prettymuch straight at 55MPH). It's definately the front end also. Maybe I need to talk to the dealership
i ve had water in the trunk, so much that it spilled into the back seat carpet. i got all the water out and cleaned the seals and put them back on , alot less water now but still getting some . is changin the lights thin gonna fix it guys? anyone? plz help!

Awesome, thanks, I need to do one of them.
If anyone is wondering, I found the service bulliten for the water drainage problem, and have a printout of the fix, the part for it is like $50, but I'll go into it tomorrow if anyone wants.

Alright, here is a link to the scan. Much thanks goes out to First Acura in Seekonk, MA, and Jason for hooking me up. The pictures are about 1100x1400 right now, so here are the links:

The sealer that you need is something like $50 I was told, because they only sell it in rolls of about a yard. I didn't pick any up, I'm gonna try home depot and see if they have anything similar. If you look by the radiator I believe there is some of this stuff, its sort of like foam, black, and sticks on at least one side.

Nice UnsanePyro. Sometimes I hear water swooshing too, but only when it's raining...Points for you!
Any of you guys take your care into a carwash?
Well a couple of weeks ago, and the only time I took it in to get it wash, there was soapy water coming in from the passenger foot area. Any of you guys experience this? It came from under the glove box.

Vanz, I have had that happen one time when it was raining out pretty bad and my car had been sitting for a few hours. I believe its a problem that this TSB should solve.
