Well it was night and the highway was pretty damn clear. I let my brother drive my car (98 3.2 tl) I was in a 01 vw passat tiptronic. Its a 1.8 T. Made a few runs starting at 60mph and I was pulling on the tl. Not to hard but around 85 the tl started to gain just a little. heh.. I need to put some mods into my tl.

 

the 3.2 TL would kill the passat off the line. the 1.8T engine isn't that great at low speeds. the lag is insane. If you floor a 1.8T off the line it takes forever to get to the 170-180 horsepower. the A4, Beetle, Jetta, Passat equipped with a 1.8T have 170 horsepower, but the TT has a 170 hp and 225 hp 1.8T. the 225 has an extra intercooler, and electronic boost regulation.

oh oh...also dbadged the back today. Turned the garage heater on and I was set with blow dryer + fishing line.

I actually took the acura emblem off also but I realized they were holes behind it. So I popped that back in.

....and the modding begins.........slowly but eventually

Its a good feeling. My previous car was 85 rwd cressida which is going to be my winter car. Always wanted to mod that car. Had so much potential. But now that I got this tl.....I've been having trouble finding parts for it.

bowdown to that motor. Its almost a simple swap but a need a few custom work! mine is the 5mge right now but highway it still gets up and moves! You can see the cressi in the back hiding . Winter should be fun!

 

There's a guy in Hawaii that has one with a 7M in it, absolutely walks WRXs. It looks as though it can't beat a grandma with a walker, though, hehe.
