Value Spoiler for all

I want the value spoiler, but am to cheap to pay $600 for the damn thing. F#ck that, I'm not cheap, I just refuse to get bent over for $600 because I can't find any other good spoiler for our cars.

I saw a ****load of bids on the value spoiler on ebay last week. I dont see why wings west dosnt make a knock off. How many of you want this spoiler????

It is bullsh#t that its not under $200, we are getting ripped because there are not alot of aftermarket parts.

Maybe I should go to home depot. Everyone uses gutter guard for their grilles. Maybe with some plywood and duct tape I can make my own spoiler for about $5.00. Then I can go spend the rest of the money on beer, pot and X so that everytime I look at my $5.00 plywood/ducktape spoiler, I will be so ****ed up it will look pimp.

I completely agree its way over priced. I mean I paid $475 for my wing on my Accord, but that was worth it. The valuewing is nice yes, but overprices yes, hehe. Needs to be around $200

well it is alot but i think it was worth it , it rounds out the back of the car cause otherwise the car looks plain imo

plus the way the wing just flows with the car looks real good

but i guess some of us dont mind spending alot for mods thats why i ahve alot of the JDM stuff thats available for the car

Thats one thing that makes the car unique. If it was like a Civic or an Accord and they're were mods all over it wouldn't be. How often do you see a hooked up first gen TL? Not a ghetto-ed up TL because I've seen those, I mean a nicely modded one. I dont think I've ever seen a really nice one in person. Only on this board. Now how often do you think you'll see someone else with a Value wing besides me (which is now sold so someone else will have it) and James (962.5TL)? Most likely never.

No offense but look at our cars, they are not civics...having to spend money on our cars should be a given......imo i would also like parts to be jdm. Having knock offs would let everyone have the same style wing as you only difference is that the jdm one cost more.....i guess thats just me, wanting to have the real product.

Ya you would be the only one with that wing which would be cool. Just costs so much.

I am fairly sure that if the value spoiler was around $200, you would still not see as many on TL's as all the civic crowd. I guess I am just more concerned with putting wheels on there for now, you guys have had your cars and mods long enough I am sure where you have to have the value spoiler, I will probobly be there after I roll on new dubs for a while.

I'll bet if the Value wing was $200 every person on this board would have one.

i would have bought one long ass time ago. hey, why is the value kit the most expensive kit made for our cars? why isn't skipper or the hiro as expensive? to me, the skipper front end looks better than the value front end. im not saying the value lip is ugly though...its still nice. the fricken side skirts, alone, are around 5 bills!! good grief!

ok I concede, if the value spoiler was $200 everyone on here would have one.

I guess my point is that after owning a car like the TL where you pay less than other luxury cars, but feel like you get so much more, it sucks to want that damn spoiler and have to pay so much for a piece of unpainted fiberglass.

Dont forget it costs a fortune to paint because of its odd curves and it needs to be mounted perfectly or else it'll hit the quarter panels when you close the trunk. Spoiler, paint and installation is about a grand. Unbelieveable for a damn wing.

that is what happens when you decide to take the jdm route...but in our situation the jdm route is the only route we really have when we want to mod our cars......as for me it hurts the wallet when buying jdm parts but it feels good knowing that the parts on your car are limited. Limited for any reason, price availability, or just plain hard to get. peAce

OK, I don't know what this JDM is that your all talking about. But if your looking for the trunk spoiler that looks like the factory one try www.spoilerdepot.com. For around $250 you can get one that's painted to match your TL.
