Everyone says not to flush a tranny with lots of miles. You should just change the oil and that's it. Better be safe than sorry since changing the tranny will cost you a heck of a lot.

I changed fluid and my transmission is the same as it was before.

Same here. I was expecting smoother shifts but I was wrong. Maybe changing it more often would help though.

yes... on our tranny's it isn't recommended that you flush, but you should at a min do a drain and fill... i didn't do my first fluid change till 105k miles... but i changed the tranny filter screen which was all clogged up... there is a DIY for both 3.2 and 2.5 models...

Yes, drain and fill if done consistenly (my case every 15K miles, every 3 oil changes) will maintain good shifting. I would say that after you have done at least 2 cycles, you will not see a difference. And the whole point is to prevent damage...and not to enhance the shift feeling. The lack of tranny issue is the result you want and enhanced shifting is a collateral improvement.

If you also change the differential oil, there may be results. It worked for me.

I did that too.

I'm just doing to drain and fill again and see if that makes a difference.

Flushing a tranny is the reason transmission shops get so much business.

NO FLUSHING NO FLUSHING!!!!

Just do a drain and fill. Although I just did a drain and fill about 1K ago and I feel the tranny shifting a little harder...
