IS there a way to test RADIATOR

mY CAR runs o.k. sometimes it heats up. No leaks though. Just the overfill is filling up. Some here said it was a blown gasket. my mechanic said no. He thought it might be the fan switch but seen the fan goeson.
Now hes saying the radiator is probably clogged. Is there any way i can check my radiator to see? AGAIN THERE ARE NO leaks, new thermostat.

Do a flush and fill on the coolant system and see what comes out. I still think it's probably a head gasket tho. I THOUGHT mine was just something else cause the overflow would get full, then over time it got worse and the overflow started boiling over.

How bad was your case. Like did you hear any water fizzing out of the heads? Did it leak anywhere? How long could you drive the car before it overheated?

No, the leak was into the exhaust side and just came out slowly from the tailpipe. Would fill it up, drive for 10 minutes and overflow container would boil over. Checked t-stat, pressure tested system, ect ect couldn't find it. Gave up and changed motor instead of doing head gasket.

WATER through the tailpipe is always a sign of a blown head. That sux. How many miles when the head blew? So i dont have much money and hoping its only the radiator. If my head gasket were blown, wouldnt the car overheat quickly? And can you give a quick rundown on how to pres. test the rad?
Thanks for your help.

also, cornflake, i can drive all day without overheating if i go to small trips. you know to stores, etc. But like yesterday i went to agua dulce (a 60 mile round way trip from my house) driving uphills through canyons and the desert. My car overheated as soon as i got ther. I wouldnt have gone had i known how far the place was.
