Does hitting the TCS switch affect anything?

Is your speedometer working properly?

Any other problems?

Could be the vehicle speed sensor.

I remember you said something about pulling the ABS fuse out. Like I said on the other thread, if you pull the ABS fuse out, the TCS light will definitely come on because it depends on the ABS to control wheel spin.

Yep, TCS uses the same system as the ABS. I remember reading in the manual saying that if your TCS stays on, it's on! not off. When it flashes, they said to turn off your car ignition and turn it back on, and it should reset. Otherwise, you'll need to check with the dealer. But don't quote my word, I read it a while back.

yes, i read the same thing in the manuel. so my TCS is always on now and that can't be good for the engine. should i just put the ABS fuse back and deal with the annoying sound of ABS so the TCS will go off?

Traction Control sucks - I turn it off everytime I get the car started because it robs power!

I would pull the VSA fuse and that should keep it disabled - pointless feature unless you are a bad driver or live in an area with bad winter conditions.

It doesnt rob power. Its a passive system.

And our cars do not have VSA.

Mine does, but only because I put a lot of work into it.

VSA is a combination of TCS and a 4 sensor braking system. Basically will brake wheels independently as needed to keep you on your intended course in a skid.
