Well after two years of problem free operation, my alarm started acting up this morning! I start my car by remote, get in, drive the 45minutes to downtown T.O. (I am on a course this week) Park the car, get out and walk away pressing the arm button.... NOTHING...SILENCE... try again..NOTHING, remove the battery from the remote, replace it, try again....NOTHING. So I shout some profanities and go back and lock the car by the KEY..How Stone age!! LOL (but I'm not really laffin at this point). Hoping everything is still there when I get back to the damned car tonight... And that it won't prevent me from starting the car. ONLY thing I can think of is that the AC system started dripping inside the car (which it has done before on REALLY hot days on long drives. I just hope it hasn't completely ruined it as I don't have the $$$ for the 900MHz CompuStar JUST yet... DAMN!!!! Might have to just SWIPE it and bite the bullet next month!!!

I had to unplug it...still would work, so drove home. Got to g/f's grandparents house for dinner and somehow must've hit the anti-carjacking button!! So NOW I can't disarm it and it's going off like crazyso I ripped the dash apart (with a screwdriver and wrench of course, no real damage...LOL) and now unplugged it. I am gonna try again tomorrow with the other remote and see. pain in the butt tho. 12 years I've had alarms and never anything like this.

You should know that starters can die, just like alternators. They do have a certain life cycle.
My alarm/remote starter has been working flawless for the past 5 years on the TL.

You might want to read this article.
It's about an automotive columnist in England who returned his $200,000 Ford GT because of a messed up car alarm Ford couldn't fix.

If the install is poor, the results are going to be poor as well.
In the case of Top Gears Ford GT40, a crappy install was to blame.

Get it man it's worth it, better than any DEI shit that's out there right now. I've had mine for a while now and I love it. My friend that got his the same time as I got my compustar has already been back to the shop for warranty issues like 3 times already. He had that new viper one with the "GPS" that don't even work right
