Shiet...more problems

Sorry for another one of my problems...

fukin brakes are squeeking...I called the dealership and they said they can't do anything about that cuz it's not covered under warranty. They said when they got the car the brakes were 35/35...WTF does that mean? The brakes look rusted as hell. I don't know about these things...do you guys need a picture?

I feel like the engine isn't working like it should, sometime it rumbles in idle. It's not sounding like it should. It feel like it's jumping...could need a tune-up??

My warranty only covers internal lubricated parts (engine and transaxel)...and it expires tomorrow

So how much is it to replace brakes if needed?

I'm going in to Acura today for my emissions recall, and hopefully they can help. I still have to fix that leak in one of my tires...

Bull...damn all this dealership did to the car was a safety check and added one quart of oil...

Man I'm so broke right now

Brakes are a bitch on most Acuras, its one of those things I dont look forward to.

As for the engine rumble.. yes, get that taken care of under either your soon to expire powertrain warranty or a federally mandated emissions warranty.

Are you going through Acura of Eugene? Salem? Portland?

Good luck, I've never dealt with them. Let us know how it goes.

Are the breaks a scratching or squeaking? Mine had a metalic scratching sound from rust along the outer edge of the rotors, I chipped it off, noize went away.

well i change my own pads, its pretty simple. I can say this, we have very small brakes, very little. my sister has a 00 sentra and her brakes are 3 times bigger than ours.

and you said rusted, the brakes don't really rust because they always in action, are you talking about the rotor is rusted very badly. i doubt its the rotor. if your brakes are sqealing, most likely all you need to do is change your pads, and that takes care of that. don't go to the dealer though, a brake job is like 260, just a regular shop like goodyear, or firestone, or just one of those oil change shops will do it for like 85 or so.

my rear brakes have a slight high pitch noise when i come to a stop SOMETIMES (just on some days for some reason and not others). Maybe its the weather. I just had my rear pads replaced and rotors machined last month (rear).

My bad, it is probably the rotors that are really rusted. I dunno, the thing that grabs on to the disc to stop the car...haha...idunno, I'm new to cars.

Just got back from Acura and left my car there...we'll see how it goes.

This is what I notice...when I apply the brakes, i feel a rumble in the front of my car...it's either the front brakes or the engine. I also feel this when I release the brakes. And it squeels everytime I tap on my brakes.

Went to les schwab to check for price (they didn't see my car cuz it was at the Acura lot) and got quoted 174.95 (front discs) - 361.89 (front disc and rotors replaced). Does that seem right? 75.95 in the price is for labor.

And I think I know what 35/35 means...35% left for both front and back brakes. Les Schwab said the brakes should be good for another 5-6K miles, but the rumbling is killing me. The car was alright when I first got it...maybe it was the trip to ocean side or the car wash that made the brakes worse?

about the rumbling, my dad had that problem(98 es300) and it turns out that his rotors were slightly warped. they said it could have been from stopping at high speeds.. he got new rotors and that fixed the problem

How do you replace the pads yourself?

Acura called...they said everything checked out, they gave it a tune up and said my brakes were 20/40...nothing was wrong. But I feel like somethings wrong...

got back from Acura...and I can feel the difference!!

Don't know what they did, but it doesn't squeal or rumble like it use to. Maybe it's the engine?? They did the emissions tune up and told me that my brakes were fine, good for another 2-3K miles.

Before my feet use to feel the rumble. And I hear a strange crunching sound coming from the front of the car. Now it's smooth. I love the car now so much better than driving my girls corolla...I feel like a giant in that car, and I'm only 5'8", not much seat or leg room at all.
