I have a standard acura security system with the remote. Recently, i can lock all the doors with the remote but i can not unlock doors which i have to do manually. I changed the remote cells, checked the fuse everything is fine. I am almost thinking of replacing the security system( any suggestions) because i need one with this car.....Thanks in advance..

 

I had that same problem -- but it ended up being just a broken key fob. If you have another remote lying around, try it.

Dealers will charge you an arm and a leg (most of the time they want over $60 for a remote ... and they may even charge you to program it).

I got a few off of Ebay reall cheap --- $10 or 15 a piece. They are also VERY easy to program yourself.... so, just search around on Ebay for one.

Similar thing happened to my car in the fall - except mine wouldn't lock. I took apart the remote, and it didn't seem to be the problem. Before this happened, my alarm would ocasionally go off without any provocation, but not since the lock button didn't work. Now, the locking started working perfectly fine, but my alarm's been going off again. I'm taking it in to get serviced on Monday, and I'll let you know what they say.

my 97 tl was broken into by way of the driver window. now i cannot use my key to unlock nor will the locks unlock. once unlocked they immedielty go back to the lock position. Also my driver door handle will not open? and suggestions or help. please

 

That driver's door handle may have something to do with what you are experiencing. Try fixing that first and see what happens.
