this is common problem and cannot really be 'fixed'. but there are steps to be taken. there was a post about this a lil while ago. if you do a search for 'window' or some such, that could help. there was a useful tip in a few of em. also, up top there is a sticky about stuff that goes wrong with the car. the scratched window is on there lots. check it out

just be prepared to take door panel off, etc. if you plan on tryin to fix it yourself.

It's easy to fix the looseness and slow speed of it, but there really isn't too much you can do abuout the scratching. I suppose you could polish the glass somehow, but the scratching will come back due to the design.

It has something to do with sand/dust or other small, tough particles getting into the doors. The foreign particles get caught in the pad that's supposed to prevent the window (while down) from shaking when closed. As the window goes up and down, those foreign particles scratch the window.

It wouldn't fix the scratches, but would probably prevent them from getting any worse, for a while at least.

I understand what causes the scratches...i fixed that allready and i did the lubrication of the tracks to speed up the slow window...but my question is...i have scratches on the window and they really show up now that i got my tint, is there a way to repair the window, such as a polish or something or do i have to replace the whole window?
