Question Removing Acura emblems

From the people who have removed the Acura and 3.2TL emblems from the truck lid, how hard was it? and did you need to repaint after they were removed? Are they glued on?

yea i took them off. but dont pull with ur fingers, those that got away wit that that (ie letha) were very lucky. cause mine were on there GOOD. i used a heat gun to soften the glue n then carefully use a blade and go along the edges of the emblem not the car. after that off youll have the glue left soften that with the gun too and get w.e u can off after that its goo gone and a quick wash. if you just pull straight off u can damage the paint and have "ghost" emblems. o and if u go the heat gun route dont forget to open ur trunk n then do it so u wont damage the tail lights. if you do it clean ull love how it looks i promise.

I used a heat gun and fishing line. Got them off, cleaned up some leftover glue (some was sticky, some was crumbly and dried up) with goof-off (?) and then clayed, polished, and waxed.

Sweet. Cannot wait, I am going to do this right away. I thought I wass going to have to wait untill it needed a new paint job.
Did anyone run into sun fade on the paint and not under the badges?

I noticed a little bit of a difference in where they originally were, but it went away after the polishing, not the clay/wax.
