re: oxygen sensor
hey guys,
need your help..my check engine light just went on and i brought my 97' 3.2TL to the honda dealer service shop..they diagnosed the problem as my secondary O2 sensor.. to replace it through them, it would cost an arm and 2 legs.. does anyone have this part or where i can get it for a good price?? we all know that the dealer raises their prices sky high..so any help would be great..thanks..

Just to let you know, the second O2 sensor IS expensive no matter where you go. Expect to pay at least one and one leg.

Try this place, they wont play around. If they dont have it, they'll tell you and their prices are fair. I've dealt with them many times

You should check the service updates on your car the dealership can do the o2 replacement for free if you fall into that catagory and they change your spark plugs.

1st timer here.
I had the same problem with 2nd O2 Sensor (seems like a common problem on TL). Acura dealer will replace it for free if your mileage is under 150K. You'll get a free car wash also!

I have a 99 TL and I had a recall on my 2nd 02 sensor, dealer fixed for free and gave me free oil change and vacuumed my car too! Find out if 97's have any recalls that you may have missed.

has anyone ever replaced thier "2nd" or "rear Oxygen sensor" ?
If so, can anyone give me install tips? Is it just kind of a unplug, plug back up and play deal?

I currently have a P0141 code on my first gen (98 3.2, 167k miles), bank 1 sensor 2. I had bank 2 sensor 2 replaced a few years ago at about 78k miles or so. Other than the check engine light, I saw no significant impact on mileage or anything.
