Quick Question 98TL
Just Picked it up, when I stopped and turned off the engine the fan kept going for some time-didn't time it, but which is weird cuz on my legend the fan don't stay on after I turned it off unless it's hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk.
So is this a usual TL deal or there is somthing I need to check or do to make this stop...
Thanks in advance

It's fine. First day that happened to me when I bought my TL I thought I had fried the engine. It depends on how hot the car is and how hard you drive it the hotter it is the longer the fan stays on for. It's nothing to worry about. It sounds kinda kewl though.

yes its normal. it turns on after long time of driving which is good. actually, if you drive your car for a long time and you DONT hear the fan, take your car to the shop asap! lol
its normal so dont sweat it. do you notice the needle for the hot/cool gauge is usually below half way.. near the cooler side?? i notice in other cars, the needles are exactly half way btw hot and cold..

With the starter, it'll make a loud click noise and nothing happens?
Unfortunately its the starter contacts. The Legends had the same problems

Legends also had cheap relays under the dash-both the fan timer and the main relay were prone to heat damage which caused irratic things to happen. At one point, my legend would start at all if it was hot inside the cabin, and the fans would run until either the battery was dead or I pulled the fuse.
Both are easy fixes, not sure if TL's have the same problem though

The TL's fan has a timer on it. If it goes past 15 minutes, you have a problem.
