Possible to adjust cooling fan?
Hey guys. 1997 3.2 here. 360,000kms
I've noticed ever since I've been monitoring my coolant temperature, the cooling fan kicks in at around 98-99 degrees C. I only ever get to this temperature when I'm in traffic a lot.
I'm wondering if there's a way-some kind of adjustment, or wiring- that the temp. does not need to be almost the boiling point of water before the fan brings the temp down to about 92-93 degrees C. (I know coolant can boil, from a bad experience, but not sure at what temp.)
I've been told our engines run hot, but is this not a little overboard?
by the way, my stat is a little over a year old - part of my "maybe it's not the head gasket.." repairs from last year
Looking forward to hearing some input.
thanks guys
glenn.

Yeah i no what you mean. My car runs hot too but has over heated twice in 110 weather in rush hour traffic bumper to bumper. But i have not flushed out the radiator fluid yet sense i moved to an apartment and sold or gave away all the stuff that i used to have to do the work on my cars.
