Pollyurethane Motor Mounts
Pollyurethane Motor Mounts
Hi everyone I just got done making and instaling a custom set of polyurethane motor mounts for my 98 2.5 and am verry satisfied with the results. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a set because the factory ones are sooooo expensive
. I can make and ship a pair for just over what it costs to buy one of them from the cheapest dealership I could find on the web. $400, if anyone is interested let me know and I will get to work! I will put up some pics if any one is interested just let me know thanks everyone! P.S. Moderator, I did not know what section to put this post in, so if it is in the wrong area please feel free to move me.

Here are some pics.
Also, thats not "too" expensive considering the factory ones are almost twice that much. Thanks for your opinion though I will try to find some cheaper poly with the same physical properties to drop the price some more. Thanks for looking everyone!

Thank you I appreciate that, no I don't need the old ones for a core (they do make great door stops for the shop though
It has the same durometer and temp range is good well into the 400's and has a much higher psi tear rating and better compression range, so I figured it was worth the extra and still miles cheaper than the stock replacements. The only prob is they don't like to sell to individuals thats why he sold me the "prototype samples" they like to sell it by the 50 gallon drums. I would like to try the McMaster Carr stuff but do you guys think the 180 degree constant temp range would be effective? If so I would be glad to use that and it would deffinetly be cheaper. Thanks everyone!

It's more than enough. One way to cut your costs down would be to find Vigor mounts in a junkyard. They bolt up and don't have the hydraulics to deal with, and would save you from making them from scratch. You should be able to do the 3.2 mid-mounts, too, since they aren't hydraulic either. Also, besides the mid-mounts, I think the tranny mount needs some attention. I never got around to doing mine, though, haha.
