Yup. Off work friday so I will be cleaning up the engine compartment for sure. Will be dyno'ing it and taking it to the track once I get the Legend ECU wired up. Just trying to get hold of the required connectors to do that!! Having a hard time, pretty bad considering I work for a connector company!!! :-P (Although the connectors are made by our competitor maybe that's why!!)

The only difference visually is it says Type II and you don't have a valve cover. Once that engine is clean and you have that type II ecu hooked up it'll look nice. btw nice yellow intake.

It's what's INSIDE that counts! :P Has valve covers, just the ENGINE cover is different. I will be modifying and replacing my stock TL cover shortly. Will look pretty cool when it's done. Thanks, the intake was orginally from my '98 'Teg, slightly modified to fit the TL.

I can't believe I made that mistake. I guess I'm so use to Inline 4 engines and having valve covers on the top. BTW what kind of teg did you have? I know on the gs-r the intake manifold sits kind of low so the intake piping goes up then staight. But if you had an after market intake manifold the piping goes straight across like that.

I had a NICELY done '98 Green GS (the one in my avatar). I had stock manifold, and that intake had two bends, I cut one of them off to fit the 3.2. THAT car was nice....dyno'd at 137.5 FWHP, with only bolt ons ...then add the 75 shot of NOS on top of that...She was F-U-N!!! :P

It didnt come with a badge, thats all. The parts are definitely a Type II. Maybe the badge alone was bought? I wish it came with one. But the headers especially are noticeably different.

Is yours welded or glued on? I have a rectangular smudge on mine.. i wonder what they did to get it off...

not sure how it is attached, but it is on top of the front part of the top of the intake. If you have a flat spot there, yeah it prolly came off. Mine seems on ther prety solid tho!!!

The type II bage is glued on. You canbuy one from acura for about $15. Your WHP should be just about matching to a TYPE II legend.

Good to know, I should get the badge.. I think my engine bay looks lonely without it.

Well, I've got 90% of the re-wiring figured out. Just heading over to the scrapyard right now to try and cut off the end of a harness if I can. Hopefully have the Type II ECU running next weekend.

Sweet swap, do feel a big difference in power with the swap? Also, just wanted to know how much would it cost to do that, becuase my friend has a 2001 TL and he smoke me all the time, of course.

Ummm no, not at all. I simply had to redo a bunch of the wiring myself and my brother did about several miles worth of work and I wanted to at the least, show how much work he did.

I haven't re-done any of the wiring yet. I am using all stock TL wiring at this point , and just going to make a jumper harness to plug the Type II ECU in. I am having a hard time finding the ECU connector for the harness (socket connector) but once I do, I will be finishing the harness as I have figured out all of the pin changeovers. I am currently not feeling a huge performance difference. THis is mainly because the stock TL (Type I) ECU does not have enough fuel at the higher RPM range to supply the motor, and it's leaning out and losing power. Cleaned up the car this weekend, so next weekend will be motor cleanup and pics. TRUST me as soon as the Type II ECU is hooked up I will be firing up the trusty old G-Tech and running some times I'll also be hitting a dyno for sure. I REALLY don't want to give the total cost as my job turned into a nightmare, I am looking at over 4 g's CDN for everything. But remember that includes the motor, an EXTrA head I had to buy (as one of mince from the original motor was no good), EVERY possible gasket and required seal, head gasket, exhaust manifold gasket and any other required piece in the motor, new tb/wp, new drive belts, new rad and ALL hoses related to cooling, the type II ecu, resistor pacs for the Injectors, new battery, and labour. Really a good price from a friend at the dealer for parts and a REALLY good friend (DRH) for the labour. THey did a great job and once the new ECU is fired up, I am SURE the car is gonna be real fast (relatively anyway!!)

Thanks for the support guys, I will keep you posted in the coming weeks for all the final details!!!
