pads: its that time of the month

It is that time for me to change my front brake pads. Which pads have you guys used and any comments? As for me, my suggestion is to never go with Axxis if you have aftermarket wheels. They say Axxis doesn't dust much...they is lyin'!! I am searching online later today to buy either AEM, Hawk, or just plain Acura's stock oem ones. Suggestions? Comments?

I've used the AXXIS pads, and even though they claim to dust less than the stockers, this is a LIE!!! My Type-S rims were covered with so much brake dust that my friends thought I painted them Steel Grey. Furthermore, they last roughly about 1/2 the time the stockers do. Unless you are swapping out your calipers and rotors with a big brake kit, stay with the OEM pads.

buy akebono's

i have them all the way around and i have no squeal and very low brake dust

they are the best, because this is who manufactures the oe pads, but without paying the oe price. but for cheaper than the oe pads, i get the upgraded akebono's - the ceramics

gotta love the inside information

I just put ceramic akebonos on the rear. Immediately started squeeking as bad as the old pads. After a few weeks of driving the squeek has gone away some, still hear it occasionally though. I'm doing my fronts this weekend with Raybestos ceramics.

I put on Raybestos QS Ceramic pads when I did my x-drilled a couple of months ago. RIms probably get about 1/3 IF that of the dust they got with the regular pads., lovin them. No squeel either, just a slight hum under hard breaking, but thats the slots on the rotors making that noise. FULLY recommend them!!! Stops WICKED fast too!

You could try EBC Green Stuff, I have them on my TL and they are pretty good and I dont get too much brake dust, wheels just need a general cleaning after a week. The are ceramic and copper composite. Check it out on the net.

isn't it true that stock pads, even though they cost more than big aftermarket brands, they last longer and dust less? but also doesn't brake as good as aftermarket brands? if this is the case, i'll buy stock ones since i dont ever need to step on the brakes so hard and suddenly.
