Talking The OLD TL, like new again...

Just got my timing belt and all the other required belts, etc replaced..you guys were right the car runs MUCH SMOOTHER, and w/ the Iridium Spark Plugs and NGK wires the acceleration has a quicker response. It feels like a brand new car..

It cost around $925 w/ tax.
But that was for:
ACURA OEM
1)belts
2)timing tensioner
3)tensioner spring
4)camshaft angle sensor
5)cam seal
6)NGK Iridium Spark plugs
7)NGK Spark Plug Wires
8)Over-Night shipping
9)Installation of all parts and tune.
It took around 5 hrs total, but some parts had to be overnight shipped so my car stayed the night at the shop.

60k is one of the major tune ups, so expect to pay a bunch if you're gonna take it to the Acura dealer.

To me a tune up is the basic stuff like.
Oil Change and Filter
Spark Plugs and wires
Checking the timing of the car
and other small things.
What I had done was the 100k Maintance. That is a major deal and should only have to be done once, unless you plan on putting tons of miles on the car.
The car runs so much smoother, Idles lower(quiter), quicker accell, feels like a new car.

The first year I put 30,000 on it. I worked on one side of town and went to College on the other. That's what killed me. Now the only time the TL gets out is for work.

My friend has a 96 or 97 black 2.5 tl, it just turned 200K miles last month. Runs well still. I only have 60k on my 98 3.2
