Im getting the CDA-9807, its pretty much the same thing, but more silver in color. It matches the color of my car. I think the 9827 and 9807 look great. You said that you have a sliver gauge bezel, so i think that the head unit will match nicely.
I got a Blaupunkt San Jose for 140, it has a volume knob ( a revolutionary concept in the aftermarket units! ) and plays MP3's as well as CD's. Sound quality is excellent.
Too bad we can't hook up the 2 tweeters and 2 mid ranges to aftermarket units.

I've got a Panasonic DF688U It's silver with blue lighting behind the silver, I think it looks alright. I would have preferred to use the stock unit, but it didn't like the line out connection hooked up, couldn't get it to work with my amps. Otherwise It would still be in the car!!
to hook up the 2 tweeters and 2 mid ranges to the aftermarket units this is what you do strip the 4 green wires for your tweeters and put on a female t-tap for it then put on the male t-tap onto your 4 front speaker wires and basically just plug the female over the male t-tap and Bam it should work!!!

i'm selling a BRAND NEW sony Xplod CDX-M3DI if anyone is interested? - $499.99 with shipping and insurance
Features:
-4.2 Inch, 32,000-color TFT Display
-Motorized flip-out faceplate
-52W x 4 high power amplifier
-MP3/CD-R/CD-RW playback capability
-DSO and EQ7 for ideal sound field creation
The Sony CDX-M3DI is an incredible player with a gorgeous display--but don't let that distract you from the features of the player.
The CDX-M3DI can play CD, CD-R, CD-RW, plus MP3 files on CD-R or CD-RW. It can control up to five external changers--either CD, MP3 or MiniDisc, and an AUX input lets you add whatever device you want. The sound of this can be adjusted in many ways. It comes with seven preset equalizer curves, or you can tune it yourself with the seven-band custom equalizer. There is even a program that uses phase and frequency alterations to seemingly shift the sound image above the dashboard.
There are crossover controls for the main channels and the subwoofer, with 4-volt preamp outputs. The built-in amplifier produces 23.2 watts (RMS) or 52 watts (peak) into four channels.
Of course, you can't ignore the looks of this system. It uses a TFT high-resolution display similar to that used on laptop computers to give amazing clarity to the images that come with it--including full motion animation and a spectrum analyzer. Everything is adjustable to ensure that you can easily read the important information, such as CD Text and track numbers, and the motorized faceplate is very nice. With so much going for it, the CDX-M3DI is an incredible player.
