Question Mods?

Does anyone have info on easy-to-install engine mods for a '98 3.2TL?

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the 3.2 motor the same one used in today's TL-S, minus the factory mods? Same block/basic motor...so it has unlimited potential. Just don't know where to get the info...

Also, can Acura 3.5RL wheels fit on a TL?

Thanks in advance!

uhm first off i would like to welcome you to the board, another 98 3.2TL... hehehe yay i ain't alone no more hehehe ... plz feel free to ask any questions here... and to answer ur question we are limited.. it is untrue that out engines are the same as the newer TL's.. our engines are mounted as a rear wheel drive car and the newer ones are mounted vertically... also they stopped making intakes for our car... however i am going to sell my intake tube pretty soon... if u r interested let me know... other things such as bumper lights and accessories you can find on ebay... as for exhausts you can fin custom work and headers u will also need custom work... lets just say that for u to hook up ur tl.. it won't be cheap... body kits are expensive and not freely available like civics... as for ur rim question, it is possible.. im not so sure about the rubbing.. check the offset... and good luck..

tl-s has 260hp whereas your engine is pushing out around 200 horses so they're totally different engines.

as for easy engine mods, id suggest a k&n drop in air filter..ngk spark plug wires..thats about it.

im not sure if the RL wheels fit your car but i do know for sure that the CL-S wheels will fit. someone around here has them on their car. its not too bad looking

Thanks for the responses.

Seems that our cars are limited in what one can do. Sort of surprises me, actually.

What about a chip replacement? I am looking for a bit more bite, nothing major.

Since I have your attention...has anyone installed a hitch on the TL? I need one for a bike rack. Hidden Hitch would be preferred, if available.

Thanks again.

Chips a absolutely worthless for the price, you might as well just go and bump your timing up because that would get you more of a difference. We are talking 1-3 horsepower. If it really put you up 10-15 extra horsepower than everyone and their dog would be spending the $250 for those worthless chips.
