Misfire on Cylinder 2 what to do?
I have a 1997 2.5Tl prem I have a misfire on cylinder 2. didn't get the code from the autozone guy. What do I do? change out the sparkplug? what do i do to test the ignition wire? I think this is the cause of my idle running under 500 rpm. I am going to read up on the ERG cleaning for my model.

I did a tune up a couple of months ago, with acura wires and NGK plugs. Should I have not gapped the plugs at .44 like it is recommended on the books?

wow..believe it or not i just had the same exact problem with cylinder #5.....i went to the shop and paid 286 for a tune-up fuel injection and some other things...they said if the check engine light came back on that it was the coil pack...
well..it misfired because the coil back needed to be replaces...and that ran me another 250..
so thats over five hundred in 2 days...but it fixed...no lights...and the engine isnt pulling anymore...
that coil box seems like it must be important......because i could even used the AC when it was broken without the car shaking....

what should I do to the fuel injectors? I can clean the dirt off? What can I do to make them spray better. I put those fuel injection cleaners.
I changed out my spark plug and used another #2 ignition wire. it is still idling below 500 RPM. When I rev it up and let go, it goes all the way down to probably 200 RPM and wants to quit. When I took out the spark plug it was dry, red and had a little white on it. I figure it was the additives I was adding in. Please help!!! O I also cleaned out the "EGR" it was the top plate on top of the Intake valve. It had alot of carbon crap in it.

Man it's nice when your fiances' dad is a mechanic. Those are some high ass prices for those coils and labor!! He told me he can get OEM coils for like less than half retail from acura.

By the way, acura is supposed to replace all six coils/plugs free of charge, as long as your car has between 75k and 150k miles and is less than 14 years old, which they all are. It was an emissions issue. I'll try to find the recall info.

^ Mine's not! It's at 236,500, and has been for the last 3 months, haha.
2doe, have you checked to see if your wires are properly plugged in to the dizzy? If it's not in the correct firing order, that can cause damage to your motor, and have similar symptoms. I went through something similar with my Accord, but I'm having trouble remembering what I did to fix it... If it comes to me I'll let you know.
~Cheers~
