I have a 1997 2.5tl prem Ok, I am going to get a new muffler to replace my factory one. I have heard some mufflers out there to give more hp and MPG. I am more interested in the MPG than HP. Can you help? Also how can a muffler increase horse power or mpg? I don't get it. Bad thing is I am on a budget too. Is flowmaster good? thanks guys

 

Flowmasters are pretty good, but to actually see a difference, you need to replace the stock piping as well. There are other threads on this, including one that's currently active. The difference in MPG you'd get most likely would be offset by your wanting to mash on it a bit more, hehe. The gains are minimal, and honestly, 1-2 MPG doesn't make any difference. Going from driving my TL and SC to driving my Civic, THERE'S a difference, haha!

there are tons of acura muffler that you can choose from. there is magnaflow, flowmaster, borla, etc... personally, I've got a flowmaster installed on one of my ride.. it works great..
