Does anyone know how to take out the speakers hung by the dome light? I tried to pry it open, cracked it. Not good . Any other method? thanks

Check the top of the page, I am pretty sure there are some instructions up there.

Are you replacing the speakers up there? And with what?

I might replace them, but I have to see how big they are to do more research about it.

If I remember correctly, some people did replace them but they were insanely loud since they are right near your head. Also, if you have an aftermarket headunit, the stock speakers don't work..

Mid-range? Those aren't mids, they're tweeters...

And HQuakers has a good point, certain tweeters are insanely loud and sound as if they'll rip your ear apart. You'll probably have to turn down the treble.

They're not tweeters, they're midranges that act as a center channel.

http://hondanews.com/CatID3014?mid=2...asc&archives=t

There are two 6x9-inch full-range speakers on the rear deck, one 6.5-inch full-range speaker mounted on each front door, two 1.5-inch tweeters on the dash top and two 2-inch midrange speakers located in the headliner.

yes, those are midrange, believe it or not. I replaced the tweeter by the windshield already, so our cars don't need 4 tweeters.

The only question that I have for those who changed their front speakers. Do our cars come with cross over since it has a separate tweeters, midrange, and woofer?

There is a separate wiring harness in the back of the head unit for the center channel (comprised of the 2 midrange speakers in the headliner)
