lost power at higher altitude... HELP!
I lived in san diego when I first bought it at 118000 miles. I moved to show low in az (6000 feet above sea level) & noticed a significant loss in horsepower...
can anyone help or have any suggestions?

That's just physics. You can't do anything about it, aside from adding forced induction. When I was out in Colorado visiting my brother, my '03 Type-S was having a hard time on the mountains. I loved the moutain roads out there, but for once, I didn't mind the low flat lands of Michigan.
Oh, yeah, the car actually threw a code while on the Pikes Peak road. MAP sensor low voltage.
There was such little air up there near the top that the computer thought there was something wrong with the car.
No need to reset the computer... it'll adjust by itself.

How long have you been there. I live in Wyoming (5000 ft +/-) and it takes quite a while for the processor to reset after I have been back from a long trip...Also, using the AC while at that altitude really brings the power down. Not much that you can manually do with it. Be sure, like the post above said, to burn higher octane fuel.
Higher Altitude - Lower Octane
I've heard you can get by lower octane fuel at higher altitude (Cylinder pressures are lower at altitude due to the reduced engine breathing, so there is automatically a reduced need for high octane. ). That kind of contradicts with the advice being given here to use high octane...doesn't it?
