just ordered my springs(pro-kit)

what's up on the intake?

i know that weapon-r makes them (kinda, with a little modification) for our cars. which weapon-r intake and what kind of modifying do you have to do for it to fit?

 

here is mine.

 

i have a 2.5 and the intake is on the other side.. will those also fit wampum?

 

Anybody with a 2.5 have an aftermarket intake? I am going to change the filter box to a cone filter, but would like to add a short ram or cold air intake.

Can someone recommend a brand and model that can be modified to fit a 2.5?

you can get a K&N cone filter, they're pretty good.

hey unx.. what exactly is a CONE filter? you and i have the same year and model TL's and i was wondering if you have a k&n "cone" filter. if so, where did you get it??? k&n don't make drop in filter for our cars, at least they didn't the last time i checked?? i just want a drop in filter.... maybe a filter with an intake is alright but i think thats hard to install because i was worried about that lil plug that goes into the stock intake. know what im talking about??? so if you change your intake, there won't be a place to plug in that thingy..

 

ok the cone filter is what wampum has in his car (the picture). i think K&N might make drop in filters for our cars, but i'm not sure. the cone filter's like 20 bucks or so at any performance shop. I didn't mess around with the tubing cause of the O2 sensor thing. I"m guessing that's what you meant by the little plug. i just took off the stock box. and plug the filter onto the end of the rubber piping. that's it.
