I accidentally debadged my car the other day while waxing it. Can you guys suggest how I can glue it back on? Is there a special double sided tape I should use or any is fine?

And yes I really like the badges. I want them back on.

 

well if you REALLY want the badges back on i'd say crazy glue since the badges are plastic and crazy glue owns plastic.

but imo keep them off lol

I don't want to ruin the paint.

Its an old car. The badges were already kind of coming off. The towel I was using to buff had threads sticking out. One of them caught on the badge and just sliced through the bits of old gunk still holding it on.

 

^ Crazy glue will not only ruin the clear coat, Fresnel, but it'll eat through the emblem. You should try 3M exterior moulding tape. The stuff is pretty darn sticky, thinner than stock, and is clear.

yeah dont use glue because it will destroy the paint and when the weather changes, say good bye.

Microfiber for buffing off wax? Wouldn't the wax just clog up the pores way too quickly?

 

Microfiber was the best invention ever! But you have to pay up for the good ones, you can't just use any old "microfiber." I have NEVER scratched my Car with the Meguiars Microfiber, but they are like 5 bucks a piece, but worth all of it!

mine came off long time ago while drying my car. i kept it off

 

3M makes a emblem adhesive glue, it's gray just like the oem stuff. I've only seen it at walmart though.
