How much to add keyless entry?

I just purchased a 1998 3.2 TL! Am totally excited with my new car, but wanted it to have keyless entry. Anybody know how much it costs to add this feature? The car has a security system already. Appreciate any insights on this

Are you talking about the oem alarm that comes with the car? It should already have keyless entry if it has an oem alarm. But most aftermarket alarms come with keyless entry standard. Do you have the remotes that come with the car?

All you need is a remote for the car. Programming instructions are on this forum

Thanks for the quick responses. The car does has oem security alarm installed but no fobs. I checked out the owners manual and discovered that I have the "valet key". Don't know what happened to the original fobs, but will buy them and then come back for programming help. I think the dealer has them for $120 +/- but less on eBay. Suppose I'll check out ebay then decide where to get 'em.

My car has the OEM alarm and it doesn't have keyless entry...not sure if that's something they added for '97 or '98 though.

I just purchased 1998 3.2 TL also without the keyless remote and two dealers quoted $65 each and their service department will program it for free. The master key can be purchased at the dealer for $10. Good luck!

Master key

The dealer parts department can make a master key from your vin# but you may have to show your pink slip to prove ownership. Good luck!
