How easy is it to replace the belt for the AC in a 1997 2.5 TL?
I'm considering buying a 1997 2.5 TL to replace my beloved 1998 3.2 TL, but the one I'm looking at has a few problems. One of the problems is that the AC doesn't work very well, according to the seller. She says all it needs is a $15 belt. If that's true, how easy is it to install the belt? Can you just pop it off and pop the new one on or is it as bad as changing the timing belt?
The AC in my 3.2 TL works great and has been for as long as I've owned it. I don't know if I can go without if it breaks in this new car.

Three Wheelin'
IIRC, to get the a/c belt off on the 2.5TL you have to first get the power steering belt off since its on the outside, but that's an easy job. How many miles on that car, and what makes her think it just needs a new a/c belt? If it's not blowing too cold and belt is not slipping, then it might just be low on refrigerant.

It has 150,000 miles. She just said that it's not very cold. I looked at it today, but did not test the AC because I was not very impressed with the rest of the car and did not buy it.
