Horn buttons

Hey everyone. The horn symbols on the two horn buttons on my steering wheel have each faded almost entirely and it bothers me (I know I'm a little OCD) so I went ahead and ordered two new ones from an Acura OEM parts website only I have no idea how to replace them. I would imagine that they can be pryed of with a flat head screwdriver or something but I don't want to break anything. Does anyone know exactly how to replace them? Thanks again.

When you pry them off, Can you take some pics and make a little DIY so I can do it also. Let me know how it goes. Thanks - Nick

The buttons came off easily and I feel kind of dumb for not knowing that part but as far as removing the wires from the old ones and connecting them to the new ones goes, do you just simply pull them off or is there some kind of trick. Thank you again.

Can you explain EXACTLY how you pried the buttons off and could you take a picture of where to put the flat head screw driver. I just want to make sure I don't mess it up even more. And please, if you can, take some pics of the wires connected and explain how you disconnect them, when somebody explains how. LoL. - Nick

It's so easy you can use your fingernail if it's long enough. The screw driver just goes under the outer most edge of the button. Just give it a little pry and it will start to come out. As far as the wires go I'm still waiting for help with those. And I would take a picture only I don't yet have a wire to hook up my camera to my computer and I'm not sure how to post pictures. As soon as I can I will though.

Does anyone know how the wires connected to the horn buttons come out? I tried just pulling on them but I didn't want to pull to hard and they didn't come out. Should I pull harder is there some kind of a trick to it? Thanks alot.

All you have to do is pull on the wires, they are not soldered. They just pull out when you pull on them. I switched out the buttons in like 2 minutes.

Thanks. I was afraid to pull too hard because I thought that might make the horn go off and not stop. I'm going to do it tonight.

I just tried again and mine don't just pull out. I tried to pull as hard as I could and neither of them came out. And the one wire that I pulled on made my horn go off every time I pulled on it. Maybe ours are different.
