u need a hi output converter... it taps into ur rear speakers and has a rca output on the other end to put it in... they sell them online or at your local electronics shop...

If you bought the harness, they are usually labelled and colour coded as to what is what. The colours on the harness match up to the standard colours used in aftermarket decks.

very true, I was thinking he was installing a deck , D'oh!! yup, just tap into the rear speakers and you should be able to pick up a signal. NOW, I ended up having to change from my factory deck because my amp and line-out adapter didn't like the Acura system, and I couldn't get a good RCA signal no matter WHAT I tried. But you may have better luck than I did.

The fist thing I did was rip out the factory deck and throw in my Excelon and 6 disc changer. I will be upgrading the whole system within the next 2 months. I plan on 3 10's and component's all around

lol... I didn't know that I was supposed to tap into the wires so I ended up cutting them guess I will have to solder them back together but hey come to think about it I can solder all three ends together... .

I was wondering do I tap the Remote In Wire to the Power Antenna Wire?

thanks again for all your help, much appreciated...

Tapping into the power antenna wire would be fine. All you need the remote to do is send a signal to the amp telling it to turn on and off withe the radio

I will I just got the windows tinted today and one of those silly little moonroof vent visors. I gotta wait for the tint to set up to see how it really looks. The complete set-up wont be done for a few monthe right now just the Excelon head unit and the kenwood changer

Today I am officially p!ssed of with my sub/amp. I set everything up yesterday but it wouldnt work so today I replaced my remote wire and the system has started to work.

Unfortunately my rear 6x9 sound a lot louder than my sub and the sub is supposed to be 1100rms with 1000 rms (watts) going to it at 2ohms. Does anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong? The wiring is all correct I have adjusted the Frequency, EQ and Gain knobs but It still is not as loud as my rears. If i adjust the eq or gain too loud then the sub sounds as though it is just pushing air with very little sound...

Try repositioning the sub in the trunk you will find that the placement has a lot to to with how it sounds. Typically the best way is 1 /12 to 2 feet from the tail of the car with the sub facing the tail. Other than that im

nope no levels... i think my rca cables might be poor. the origional remote in wire was connected to the rca wire and thwe remote wire didnt work. once i replaced the remote in the sub started to work... so i guess it could be the rca... im thinking about just taking it in and having it checked out by an installer....

ive set everything up but havent had time to install it... still thinkng about how to get my 0 (zero) gauge wire from the battery to the trunk. the wire is HUGE.
