WELL. NO MORE USING AFTERMARKET HEADLIGHTS FOR ME.. AFTER FIXING THIS ONE. I HAD XENON 90 WATTS IN THERE ABOUT YEAR AGO. NOW MY HARNEST IS ALL MELTED INCLUDING SOME OF THE WIRES THAT CONNECTS WITH THE HARNEST. I TALK TO THE DEALERSHIP.. TOLD ME THAT NEW HARNEST WILL RUN ME 2,400.00 YES BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I CANT AFFORD THAT. NO WAY.. I ASK FOR OTHER OPTIONS. DEALER IS NOW LOOKING INTO A USED BUT VERY GOOD HARNEST. PROB RUN ME 670.00.. WELL I HAVE TO DO SOMTHING RITE.. 670.00 SOUNDS BETTER THAN 2,400.00.. LIFE SUKS.. PRETTY SOON I AM GOING TO SELL THIS DANG CAR. I CANT EVEN DRIVE AT NIGHT NOW. ONLY ONE HEAD LIGHT WORKING. BUT IS GOING BAD TOO. I HAD HYPER BLINKERS .. TOOK THAT OUT LASTNIGHT. NO MORE AFTER MARKETS FOR ME.. JUST KEEPING MY RIMS. SHOCKS ARE OUT BECAUSE OF THE COILOVERS. **BOUNCY**.. Sorry to hear that. I use to feel the same way when something went wrong with my car due to aftermarket parts. Well I still havnet stop modding my cars.

About the headlight harness you should check local junk yards to find the harness yourself, it will be alot cheaper than letting the dealer look for it.

i would have to say that out of ALL my mods the hardest thing was the inspire tails cause it took me soooooo long to get the amber our of them.

btw thats includeing hooking up the tvs and all that other stuff

 

ok lemme help you out here.......there is a quick fix here for your headlights........and you should never go to the dealer for stuff like that unless u know that its gonna be covered under warranty

i suggest you take your car to a radio/alarm installer and have them install this heavy duty lighting harness ....

then you can use the reg 55 watt bulbs or the 90 watt ones you got ...i used 100 watt bulbs myself when i had the legend.

if you had replaced your bulbs with the same wattage bulbs but a diff color you would have not had this problem but being that high wattage bulbs draw more current and produce more heat then the standard bulbs it fried your wires n harness. i hope this helps this kit and install should not cost more then 200 bucks.......good luck

 

YAHooOO!!!! THANKS GUYS.. THERE IS A LITE AT THE END. I WENT TO 1 OF THOSE SMALL AUTO ELECTRIC PLACES. THEY SAID ITS JUST THE PIG TAILS THAT MELTED....TOLD ME TO CUTT THEM OFF AND REWIRE THEM TO NEW ONES. HE SAID DEALER ALWAYS WANTS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE THING. (HARNEST).. THIS WAY WILL ONLY COST ME 50.00 EACH LITE. THE MAN SAID HARD PART IS TRYING TO FIND THE PARTS.. TRYING JUNK YARD NOW.. ANYBODY WANTS TO SELL ME PIG TAILS???????? OR KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THEM.? WELL I AINT GOING TO GIV UP MODDING MY CAR. JUST GETS REAL FRUSTRATING SOMTIMES.

you can buy a upgraded harness that can take more wattage and wont melt your wires on ebay for like 20 bucks.
