Had my manifold assembly replaced

Had my manifold assembly replaced
The dealer found a crack in my manifold and replaced it under the warranty (which is sweet). Plus they gave me the free tune up and everything. Over a grand worth of parts plus labor. I didn't pay a dime. I love Acura!
However, there is another leak in my flex pipe (18210-SW5-A01) which they said is gonna cost $500 to replace. So my car still sounds like a tractor..I don't mind but the passengers get annoyed. So my question is... does anyone know where or how I can get that pipe replaced cheaper? Cause for that price I should be able to get me a new catback exaust system.

Haikoo, they told me the same thing too. I took my car to an independent general mechanics sort of shop, and it was not the flex pipe like they said, but rather a gasket between two pieces. I got that replaced, and also I had an oil leak (where the filter housing meets the block) fixed for $110 when all was said and done.

Nice, I had a hole in the flexpipe, got the pipe/resonator removed and replaced for under 100.

I don't know if you could do it yourself or not (I still haven't found the trick to getting the filter off easily) but I believe it is just a couple of rubber seels that need to be replaced, my leak was getting slowly worse and worse, but everything is fine now
