Wow, that's a lot of miles and time dedicated to the marque. I think Acura should pony up a new FREE TL in appreciation of your love and devotion...and since I have just about 1/2 your miles that means I get half off!!!

I had to give up on mine last year too. Was't about to give it another engine overhaul, interior, body were mint and I STILL couldn't sell the damned thing. I ended up getting $700 for it and I forgot my alarm and overhead LCD before I gave it to the guy!! He got the car for free with the stuff I left in there! LOL I got robbed, but I had nowhere to keep it and I had already bought the bimmer.

So I got rid of my '96 2.5TL. I was the second owner and had it for over 8 years which is a record for me. I never felt that it was the most exciting car due to moderate power and lack of handling upgrades, but it has been a great, reliable, and comfortable daily driver. Everything, and I mean everything was still working well except the right rear auto doorlock actuator. That's it. ABS, very cold air, hot heat, mpg about 23 mostly highway. Gonna miss the car.

But I got an LS430 to help me get over the TL. Only had it a month now and have a third set of wheels coming.

No way! That's too bad that you got rid of it. I still remember seeing it at your place and it was very clean. Good luck with the 30Celsior!

~Cheers~

Thanks Art. Its the guys such as you that keep the forum fun and informative. Keep up the good work and enthusiasm.

Kinda hard to believe that I bought a non-Honda.
My last three cars have been Acuras and they have all been great in their respective ways. GS-R, TL and CL-S6spd. At least I still have the CL-S, but it only gets driven about 30 miles a week since I work so close to home and my wife doesn't drive stick. With the reliability of these things maybe I'll keep it and give it to my grandkid in about 30 years or so.

My TL is for sale too. I stepped up to an 06. When I bought it, the dealer offered me 2200 for the 96. I said no. I don't care if I never sell it, I'm not taking 2200 for it.
