Gear Display Question
Hey everyone,
I was hoping someone could help me out with some info... I have an issue where the lighted indicator surrounding my D4 gear does not light up on the gauge display. All of the other gear positions light up when I shift into the gear, except D4. Is this something I can correct fairly easily? Or should I take it to the dealer...
Thanks in advance.

obviously the dealer is going to charge an arm and a leg to change one tiny little bulb. do a search and you'll find the solution to your problems. the bulbs are about 5 bucks from the dealer and you can easily do the swap yourself. i believe the dealership charges 50 bucks or something.
I replaced the D4 lamp on my 97 3.2 TL and it was easy to do . It took about 15 minutes.
1. The dash panel comes out in one piece from the left vents to the middle vents.
2. There are 4 bolts that hold the panel in place: 2 are at the top by the speedo/tach and 2 are hidden behind the rubber flap between the dash and the steering wheel. The wheel must be dropped to its lowest position
3. After the bolts are removed, pull the panel towards you and at the same time, use a thin tool like a putty knife to pop open the clips which are at the vent locations. The clips are at the bottom of the panel. Be careful not to break the clips
4. Remove the wires to the emergency switch and pull the panel out
5. Replace the lamp and put the dash back in.
