i doubt it will fit third gen unless a custom bracket is made for it.. if you look at your radio knobs they are cut out on your silver trim...

HAHA! i hate buying crap like this on ebay cause who knows if it will work ....etc.... but i lucked out. it def works and eclipse honored my 3 yr warranty cause an eclipse certified dealer put it in. THE MANAGER MADE SURE OF IT BEFORE I LEFT ill tell you this.... the navi has no flaws AT ALL! it super on point! i think this looks awesome in our first gens!

do a search for the blue led gauge mod. its been discussed prolly 10000 times. mostly by me asking prolly! haha! i think the green buttons on my unit with the blue wallpaper on the navi and the gauges is awesome!

But wait, dont remove your carputer just yet.
You can add a GPS antenna module to your PC.
Then use a Map software that supports GPS, and you too can have a GPS nav along with custom interface softwares for all your multimedias.

I like how the nav looks. However, I still think a carputer is more powerful.

I have GPS with it, and DVD through the carputer and the headunit too, this just looks like a very clean easy option for a similar price. I'm actually sort of bored of the carputer, I enjoyed building it and mounting it the most, but I don't really use it for anything more than music, just sometimes movies or navi

nope it does not detach. i live in a city of about 30,000 where everyone knows everyone and i got the rep of being someone who will murder you if you harm my shit so im all good. anything can happen tho. thats where the CD KEY STICKER on the window stating unit is useless if power is cut without the key and the 3 year warranty which also works on stolen items

the problem is that the common mentality of thieves is smash and grab first, think later.... also, I'm sure the eclipse warranty wouldn't cover the replacement of my torn up dash and broken door lock/window.

awesome setup though.... pimp status.
